1. Health Service Program :

(a) Mother & Child health program :

Seba Sangha initated the program in 2004 with assistance of Civil Surgeon Office Jhenaidah and organizations own fund. This project area are inhabited with mostly downtrodden people. The population of the area is abut 50% is disadvantaged women. Here in this project area women’s skill and potentiality do not have scope for acceleration of economic growth. So, women are very much neglected by the male members of the families. It has therefore been considered by the organization to devote itself for community based development perspective of the woman community and their child. In this program to create awareness among the illiterate and educated mother to primary health care and nutrition. The organization distributed medicine nad ORS at free of cost and organized free medical treatment for poor people.  

 

(b) Sanitation Program :

Seba Sangha initiated sanitation program in 1997 with the financial and training support of NGO Forum and Dhaka Ahsania Mission. As sanitary latrine use coverage has been too low in the program area. Seba Sangha felt the need of initiating sanitation program. Under this program, group members and other peoples of program villages are educated on sanitation through community meetings face to face discussion and small group meeting on the use of sanitary latrines, Supplied them sanitary latrines at reasonable cost etc. As the Seba Sangha has own sanitary latrine production centre. During the year total supply of sanitary latrine 340.

 

2. Drug Prevention and Control Program :

United Nations Drug Control Program (UNDCP) and Dhaka Ahsania Mission provide hinds to the organization in 1997 for drug prevention and control program. The organization through workshop, voluntary workers training, orientation, school meeting, posturing distribution of leaflet, rally with sticker and programs make aware of the bad effect of drug addiction in Jhenidah sadar upazilla of Jhenidah Distirct. Near about 500 addicted people (male & female) got orientation are now free from that bad habit.

 

3. Prevention of Child and Women Trafficking :

The organization started this program in 1998 with the training and financial assistance of Rights Jessore and Dhaka Ahsania Mission. This program Seba Sangha carries out seminar at school, workshop, rally and holding courtier meeting and cultural program.

 

 4. Non Formal Education Program:

Seba Sangha initiated this program in 1996 with the financial assistance of Dhaka Ahsania Mission. Every year the organization carries out the non formal education through its conceptual methods advised by the Dhaka Ahsania Mission and Billance under whose directives the organization implements the programs upto 2003. Approximately 600 illiterate people are given necessary lessons per year. 

5. EFSN-2 (Educational and Financial Services of Neo-literate):

With the assistance of Dhaka Absania Mission and Billance the neo-literate in the project area get sufficient educational facilities like books, booklets, magazine and the materials on Behavioural Change Communication (BCC) etc. The learners also get skills training for self-employment. Under EFSN project activities, protection on environment, gender awareness building, cultural activities, tree plantation, HIV/AIDS awareness building, Human Rights, Voter Education, Safe drinking water, sanitation and use of smokeless oven are carry out regularly.

 

6. Human Rights Activities:

The organization initiated Human Rights Activities in 1998 with the assistance of Dhaka Ahsania Mission and Rights, Jessore. The national organization in Bangladesh. The project area is in habited with mostly down trodden people. The population of whom about 50% disadvantaged women and they are very much neglected by the male members of families. So, Seba Sangha carries out some awareness building programs. To change social awareness of people regarding education, health, gender awareness, women empowerment, human right and legal aid support. Seba Sangha is one of the member of Coordinating Council of Human Rights in Bangladesh (CCHRB).

 

7. Disabled Development Program:

The Disabled Rehabilitation and Development program was started in 2004. Under this programidentifled 70 Disabled persons in 15 rural villages. One well experienced field worker has been providing basic services to disabled persons 65% of the disabled persons are children and members of the poor and poorest families. The following supports and services has been providing to the disabled children :

Ø Supplied aid materials to the  disabled children

Ø Cooperated with  disabled children in getting admission m the formal schools.

Ø Medical diagnosis of disability for the  children

Ø IGA supports to the  disabled person.

Ø Seminar  places and discuss about disabled their company and social status.

 

8. Environment Development & Preservation Program :

Seba Sangha initiated this program in 1994 with the financial and training: assistance of Dhaka Ahsania Mission. The organization has taken- up different programs to make pollution less environment the following are the remarkable activities.

           i.         The training of environment worker and volunteer.

        ii.         Selected beneficiary group and facilitate them about.

ž  Usefulness of trees

ž  Sustainable agriculture

ž  Use of safe water and hygienic latrine

ž  Use of smoke less developed oven

ž  Primary health care  HIV/Aids

     iii.         Discretion meeting to educational institution

      iv.         Holding Courtyard meeting

         v.         Conducting seminar and show video films

      vi.         Essay and Debate competition on environment

   vii.         Campaign on environment

viii.         Improved smoke less oven volunteer training 35

Current year under this program of the villages are educated on the environment, its degradation, affects of degradation on life, its protection and prevention etc. Women have been trained on preparation and use of the smokeless improved oven, tree plantation and environmental health hygiene etc. The organization three times national awarded for this program from Dhaka Ahsania Mission.

 

9. Irrigation and Safe Water Supply Program:

Seba Sangha initiated this project in 2007 with the financial and technical assistance of Rural Development Academy (RDA) Bogra, Govt. of Bangladesh. The project cost of Tk. 22,00,000/- (Twenty two lac). Under this project the organization implementing micro-credit program amount Tk. 16,50,000/- jointly RDA Bogra and Seba Sangha. 

 

 

10. National and International Important Days Observation.

Seba Sangha observes different national and international significant days like international human rights day, world Breast feeding day, national sanitary week, world environment day, world drug free day, world children day, world women day etc.

 

 

 

11. Election Observation and Related Program:

Seba Sangha initiated the election observation in 1996 with the financial assistance of Fema. Afte rthat Seba Sangha coordinate every election as a Thana coordinator. Seba Sangha is one of the members of Coordinating.

 

12. Arsenic Mitigation and Awareness Program:

Seba Sangha initiated the program in 2003 supported by Bangladesh Arsenic Mitigation Water Supply Project (BAMWSP) and NGO VIDA, Dhaka. The organization worked in Jhenidah Sadar Upazila’s 4 Union. (i)Maharajpur, (ii) Naldanga, (iii) Ganna & (iv) Paglakanay. The organization trained of 4 union spervisor (US) and 144 field team member (FTM). The organization has been worked sensitization meeting at 4 union, village survey, water examine at every tube well and identified Arsenicosis patients. Further Seba Sangha implemented the program in 2008 financial & training support from Bangladesh NGO Foundation (BNF).

  

 

 

13. Suicide trend Preservation Program.

 With financial assistance by NGO Foundation, the programme has bee taken in 2015. Under the programme, 42 volunteers were given training from 18 wards of Maharajpur and Naldanga unions. Besides, discussion meetings in 4 educational institutions and 42 courtyard meetings at 42 villages including 4 coordiantion meetings were arranged. 

 

 

 14. Empowering women and improving the quality of education:

With the financial assistance by Bangladesh NGO Foundation, the programme has been taken in 2019 Under the aforementioned scheme, in 2019, 32 bicycles were provided to 32 students at 5 educational institutions of Maharajpur Union of Jhenaidah Sadar Upazila. Jhenaidah Deputy Commissioner Mr. Saroj Kumar Nath was the chief guest and Mr. Sadar Ali Biswas Managing Director Bangladesh NGO Foundation and Mrs. Shammi Islam, UNO Jhenaidah Sadar Upazila as the Special guest.

 

 

15. Maternity allowance program for poor mothers:

Seba Sangha initiated the program in 2017 supported by Dept. of women Affairs, Bangladesh. Under this scheme, a bank account of 655 women was opened in 2018-19 and training was given to750 women.

The honorable Upozilla Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Kaliganj Upozilla Suborna Saha was the chief guest and Mrs. Nilufar Yasmin, (D.D) Dept. of Women Affairs, Jhenaidah and Taslima Begum, Upozilla Officer Dept. of Women Affairs, Kaliganj Upozilla, Jhenaidah was present one of the training Program.
